Allow Short Codes as an Advanced Field type
I’ve seen several feature requests / Wish List items for things like inserting custom HTML, text, etc. into forms (e.g. http://smartforms.uservoice.com/forums/238969-general/suggestions/6235203-is-it-possible-to-get-a-field-that-we-can-insert-h). It occurs to me that you could easily satisfy all of these and more in one fell swoop by simply having a Short Codes field in which any short code implemented by WordPress core or any other Plugin can be inserted into a form as if it were a field.
For instance, for custom text or HTML (e.g. explanatory or descriptive text for a particular field instead of for the form as a whole) , one could simply write an ordinary, everyday WordPress Post, make sure it doesn’t show up anywhere else, then use its Short Code to insert right into into a Smart Form as a field above or below the desired actual form field.
The developer UI for that form type would simply display a drop-down of all of the short codes currently implemented by WordPress core and any plugins, categorized as such. It would ask for any arguments that any requires, then insert the proper code on form display.
This simple feature would vastly expand the power and flexibility of Smart Forms and enable interaction with numerous other plugins.
